Savory Stuffed Bell Peppers

Ingredients

  • 4 pieces bell peppers
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 medium onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1.5 cups tomato sauce
  • 1.5 cups cooked rice
  • 1 cup cheese
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cut the tops off the bell peppers and remove the seeds and membranes.
  3. In a skillet, cook the ground beef, onion, and garlic until the meat is no longer pink; drain.
  4. Stir in the tomato sauce, cooked rice, 1/2 cup of cheese, salt, and pepper.
  5. Stuff the bell peppers with the meat mixture and place them in a baking dish.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  7. Uncover, sprinkle the remaining cheese on top, and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Serve hot and enjoy!
