Parboiled and Air Fried Sweet Potato Fries

Ingredients

  • 2 large sweet potatoes (approx. 800g)
  • 1 teaspoon (4g) baking powder
  • 2 tablespoons (30ml) olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon (2.5g) paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon (2.5g) garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon (1.25g) black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon (5g) salt

Instructions

  1. Peel the sweet potatoes and cut them into fries shape.
  2. Place the sweet potato fries in a pot and cover with cold water and stir in the baking powder. Bring to a boil and cook for 5 minutes. Drain the water.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  4. In a bowl, mix together the olive oil, salt, paprika, garlic powder, and black pepper.
  5. Toss the parboiled sweet potato fries with the olive oil mixture until evenly coated.
  6. Place the fries on a baking sheet and transfer to the preheated air fryer.
  7. Cook for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the fries are crispy and golden brown.
  8. Serve hot and enjoy!
